In the beginning, it is recommended to avoid other online players at all cost until being a point where the player can defend themselves. On the mini-map, there's a visual of other players and where they are located. It's important to be wary of the player characters' surroundings. Other players can attack, rob, run over, and all the fun gameplay options that come along with the series to the player. In the online mode, everyone is out for blood. In the story mode, most players had to worry about was potentially bumping into a cop car to get a wanted level. It is important to mention that the online version of Los Santos is a completely different monster when compared to the story mode. Now that the tutorial is complete, the player can now fully explore Los Santos. The story here is this new character has recently flown into Los Santos. Also, most of the character customization statistics are very minor, as once again, to truly get the best out of the character, the player must explore more of Los Santos. While it seems pretty expansive in the options they give the player, plenty of the more lucrative items lie in the online mode for players to grind for and collect themselves. This character can be dressed with a few preset outfits and overall customize how the character looks from height to skin tone, to even the facial structure. In the online version of Los Santos, the player is able to create their own customizable character.
It helps if the player has friends who also are more experienced to help them get a grasp of what to expect online.
