Because steam attracts the people that buy the game rather than just buying the trial version. Gamepass will have alot of players in the beginning but after the first month it's playerbase is dead. I said just like B4B because I agree with you. All they have to do is not be retarded and they'll be set. Non-40k WH settings have their fans, but 40k is different beast entirely. If they can find success in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "End Times" setting while focusing on melee, 40k focused on ranged will do just fine. A lot of the GP people will switch to Steam eventually, and eventually the community will get settled in. VT2 still going strong after years on Steam.
